Taste of Home and Nansen Dialogue Centre Osijek enabled the elementary and high-school pupils and their teachers from Slavonija and Baranja intercultural learning accented on migrations. 90 pupils had the opportunity to taste national dishes from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Marocco and Tunis and to talk to our cooks. This conversation was truly inspirational, moving and once again we witnessed the openness of young minds, their understanding spirit and eagerness to learn. They asked us so many questions, wanted to learn how people dance in Africa and take as many photos for memory to carry home. We traveled from Osijek with our hearts full of joy and hands full of gifts. Besides different local specialities we were especially blown away by the local cookbook which the pupils made for the Taste of Home team. We are truly excited to have more of these encounters in the future.
